MY 1ST AC HAT: I started out as a film loader and 2nd AC, and then I joined Local 600 and caught the focus pulling bug. Nowadays you’ll find my name on the call sheet under “1st AC” on lots of 16 and 35mm shoots. I also enjoy underwater ACing; Hydroflex is one of my most frequent rental houses. MY DP HAT: I’m always on the lookout for scripts that surprise me, and there’s nothing better than working with a director who’s passionate about their story. I love chatting about the look and feel of a project, and translating that into lighting diagrams, crew hires, lenses, LUTS — bringing the story to life. My favorite thing to overhear from video village is “This looks even better than I had it in my head!”
